TCR Forum Rules (Revised)

We do insist that you abide by the rules and policies detailed below.

Although the administrator and moderators of Talk Classic Rock Forum will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this site, it is impossible for us to review all messages.

All messages express the views of the author, Talk Classic Rock Forum will NOT be held responsible for the content of any message.

When you agreed to these rules upon registration, you warranted that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.

The owner of Talk Classic Rock Forum reserves the right to remove, edit, move or close any content item for any reason.

Talk Classic Rock is an adult oriented discussion Board. This means:

A moderated discussion forum with rules. Staff will intervene to curtail personal attacks only when: (a) A member is being subjected to bigotry, slander or piling on, or (b) A good exchange on the merits is being derailed by a flame war.

• You must be at least 18 years old to register!

• You need a minimum of 25 posts to view, post in The Bootleg section.

• You need a minimum of 15 posts in order to post links.

• Do not post personal real-life information such as home addresses and home phone numbers.

• We do not delete accounts if you wish to leave then simply drop off of the site.

• All registered members are encouraged to start threads. The thread creator gets to choose it's scope.

• We have a team of volunteer moderators. The site is moderated toward the end of protecting everyone. Not every statement uttered on the board is meant to be taken seriously. The Staff will adhere to enforce some minimal standards regarding what content is appropriate.

• Exercise good judgment, try to be reasonable, and offer mutual respect - However...personal attacks, incitements to violence, pornographic, racist, sexist, or otherwise demeaning or offensive messages will not be tolerated. Any baggage from other sites should be left outside this web site. Be respectful of others, and the courtesy will be returned to you. Recognize that there's a human being behind every post, and so please behave accordingly.

• Notify a moderator of problems with another poster promptly - If you are having issues with another member, or if an individual feels harassed at this site, then by all means feel free to contact one of the mods here. Conflict only serves the individuals perpetrating it, and is a drag for everyone else on the site. Also, if you feel another member is violating the above guidelines in a manner that degrades forum quality, then simply click the "Report Post" icon at the bottom of each post or PM a moderator.

• Respect the moderators and respect their decisions. If you have a question about TCR policies or if you have a concern about an action a moderator has taken please contact me privately.

• Thread Closing. We close threads when we find they have completely lost value due to flame war or other derailing activity or because they have simply run their course. Staff will attempt to protect and preserve a thread as intended by the member who created it.

• Temporary Site Banning. When after repeated warnings, we conclude that someone has temporarily lost their regard for the rights of others, we may deem it necessary to temporarily ban a member from the site. We do not want to lose a good poster who has only temporarily lost his or her way. And neither do we want everyone else to suffer until sanity returns.

• Permanent Site Banning. This action is reserved for any member who repeatedly persists in conduct that threatens meaningful exchange in a thread, engages in anti-social, disruptive, or trolling behavior. And/Or demonstrates that they do not support the site, members, moderators, or rules.

• No political threads will be offered at this site. There are thousands of places on the web that you can exchange political theories, yet this site isn't one of them. Please do not start them, as they will be closed immediately.

• A note to spammers...


Seriously, folks that join this site for the single purpose of advertising or promoting will be banned, and their postings deleted. Of course, you'll be given a grace period to prove that you are not merely an opportunist, yet failing to prove otherwise, you and your content are history.
