Ever make one of those mistakes that you would do ANYTHING to take back?

At least a few of you surely know what I mean. The ones that have you screaming "do overs" in your sleep, trying to find a way to build a time machine, or even begging whatever Entity you believe in to PLEASE make it all better....
The type of mistakes that nag at you during the day and haunt you through the nights...(or leave you sitting up typing a blog that you're not 100% sure you will post.)
Surely a few of you know the ones....the ones that follow you...even a year later...more...leaving you wondering if life will ever be quite the same again.
Could be a decision about a job, a loved one, an EX loved one, a child, a parent....a friend.
Perhaps you were depressed at the time, under pressure from others, yet ultimately, it doesn't matter...things can't be unsaid, undone, and sometimes, unforgotten.
Myself..I have made 1 or 2 of them....
the latest (details not important to the blog,), has left me feeling like a zombie at times,
avoiding friends, and even talk sites that I once found enjoyable. (Yes, I really am back, and will stay..). There are foods I no longer eat, places I won't go, and scents that send me back in time at the speed of light.
"Time heals all wounds" is a lousy quotation. I tend to side w/ Rose Kennedy, who stated:
[It has been said, 'time heals all wounds.' I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it is never gone.]
So, mistakes happen. If we are smart, we move on and hope to retain our sanity as we go. I suppose that learning to live ones life following the 7 principles of love ( Kindness, Patience, Forgiveness, Courtesy, Humility, Generosity, and Honesty), might make those mistakes fewer and farther in between...at least I am hoping so.
i know, this is an odd blog, but I started out with the thought tha surely there are some who feel or have felt the same, somewhere along the way.
