    Icon5 CPU Usage at TCR

Out of curiosity, does anyone else have odd CPU fluctuations when viewing this site? I'm not sure if it has to do with the scripts being used, but mine goes through the roof (95-100%) whenever I log in. As a result, site performance is diminished greatly, even while using No Script. Am I alone with this?

    That was my next question/statement.

Sounds like your (Craig's) computer needs some cleaning up and virus scanning, checking, etc...

To weigh in on the subject everything is fine on my end.
If I’m able to offend you so easily, to me that means you already recognize some truth in what I’ve written, but you aren’t ready to face it consciously yet. If you read something from me that provokes an emotional reaction, then a seed has already been planted. In other words, it’s already too late for you.

Nah, the so-called latest version of Firefox. I dunno, the issue is most prevalent when viewing the Daily Game section. I've updated the Adobe player to it's latest version, but I still get these weird CPU surges. It has to be a plug in flaw. When I get home, I'll shut them all off and go from there.

No, I don't see any problems with that end, either.

    You are a chick, right?

I shut down all of the plug ins, and restarted them one by one (Talk about tedious!), and it seems a couple if them were fighting/cancelling each other. Even so, the Task Manager and the Process Explorer tool both point to the CPU surges taking place in Firefox itself.

So after this, I read you idea, and just for shits and giggles scoped things out. Now I could have sworn that I'd removed the older Java versions months ago, but there were two more left over. Man, I despise these phantom Java deals.

We'll see how things go now. Thanks for the suggestion.
