Why do people post and then log off? I'm sure it happens at other sites but I don't give a rats ass about other sites.
I'm just sayin'![]()

Aside from being on/at a shared computer like in a cafe or library or at home on a shared computer there's really no reason or sense to. Just preference I guess.

I log off because it lessens confusion. I've gotten pm's before by people who think I'm still on here but I'm not, I just simply forgot to log off.

Because it's simple common sense if you are posting from work. Unless of course you are comfortable with having a coworker or your boss coming over to use your computer while you are away from it and seeing that instead of updating some files, you are actually watching videos, playing games or trying to access pron sites.

Yeah, I forgot to add "at work" to the list of the only reasons where it makes sense to (prying eyes).
But, of course if you don't clear your history it doesn't matter whether you actually log off or not as far as prying eyes go.

That should be a good indication of why I rarely post in the "Share a truth about yourself" thread.![]()

unfortunately, my second ex-husband is a computer geek, and used my own info to follow me around from site to site...knew about a new e-mail address even as i started it....
it was stalking at it's finest....(and ugliest)
thx to a friend...that will never happen again....

If you\'re home there would be no reason to post and then \"log off\" the site.
You can not be serious about this. You asked why people log off, and they have stated some very astute, common sense reasoning for doing so. Yet still you persist with it. Look, if not logging out works for you in your situation, then terrific. For others, this is not an option.

I've always done that. I'm supposed to stay logged on when I'm not posting? That honestly never occurred to me. My question would be why does it bother you?

Just too get back to this for a secondhere is what I mean. Cheffcraig just posted at 20:21 and logged off at 20:22. I am going to assume he's not at work. Why logoff? just go do something else and next time you come back you dont have to log on. trying to save you people some typing.
maybe ccraig is downloading porn. i get it
Curious.. I know curiousity killed the cat.
